Pixie Lott Wants to Dress Diaz

Pop star-and-fashion designer Pixie Lott would love to dress Cameron Diaz in one of her Lipsy dresses.
The 19-year-old pop star has created a range of clothes for Lipsy and if she could dress any celebrity she would love to style the ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ star.
She told BANG Showbiz: “I’d feel very lucky if anyone wore any of my designs. But I don’t know. If we’re talking anyone, someone like Julia Roberts or Cameron Diaz. That’d be so weird and funny. Cameron wearing my dress at the Oscars. That’d be so funny.”
The ‘Boys and Girls’ hitmaker also admits she was “surprised” when she saw a festivalgoer wearing one of her designs, as was the girl when Pixie ran up to her.
She said: “I was at a festival during the summer and I saw someone in my dress and jacket from the festival range and I had to stop her. I rushed over and was like, ‘Oh my God, you look amazing!’ She was shocked and I was shocked, we were both shocked!”
Just as Pixie is a fan of Cameron Diaz she is also a big fan of high-end fashion, and prefers wearing designer clothes to high street brands.
She said: “I like high-end. It’s good to have a mix I think, but if I had to pick I’d say high-end.
“I borrow a lot of stuff from different designers, but I always want to keep them! The trouble is I lose stuff really easily, my mum is always like, ‘Do not lose anything!’”

That’s Your Lott

Pixie Lott has become the rising star of girl pop in one short year. The RTÉ Guide’s Alan Corr meets the happy-go-lucky Londoner. And her mother. Oh, and her hairdresser and make-up artist.
“I’ve been in the wars”, says Pixie Lott pointing to a rather nasty scab on her knee. “I fell over on Sunday. I was in really high heels. I’m also drinking Benylin because I’ve got a tickly throat and I’m very tired.”
Even that list of minor complaints is delivered in a singsong happy voice. You could probably throw her iPad on the fire and Pixie Lott would still be a model of perma-smiling pop stardom. In the past year, the 19-year-old Londoner (real name: Victoria Louise) has hit No.1 twice and featured on the cover of no less than 25 magazines. She is a blinding vision of blondness and good teeth (she is also the image of Becky from ‘Coronation Street’).
Crowded into an RTÉ dressing room with her for this interview are her mum Beverley (who is very nice), Pixie’s make-up artist Liz and some bloke called Baz who turns out to be her hairdresser. Last year, Pixie sold 700,000 copies of her debut album ‘Turn it Up’ and her record company have just released ‘Turn it Up Louder’, a remix of the same album featuring bonus tracks, including covers of songs by Kings of Leon and Kelly Rowland.
Pixie’s success is a big change from the world of girl pop 20 years ago, when she wasn’t even a glint in Mr Lott’s eye and the likes of Kylie Minogue were pretty much locked out of the studio when it came to writing and producing the songs they had to put their names to. Call it the Gaga Factor but girl pop has really found its own voice in the past few years.

“I think if you write your own songs and then approach a label and you’ve already got a bulk of the album done then you get to have more say”, Pixie says. “Nobody’s tried to manipulate what I do. With the last single ‘Broken Arrow’ the label wanted to go with a different single but I love that song so I put my foot down.
“Put your foot down?” interjects her mother. “That may be putting it mildly! They said ‘could we discuss this?’ And Pixie just gave her reasons and the head of the label knew she was passionate about it so he said OK.”
‘Broken Arrow’ is a sweeping, dramatic ballad that gives her a chance to show her other side. It’s not all about all-night parties and nice frocks in Pixie-land you know. “Exactly”, she says. “I like songs that are emotional. I love up-tempo songs too, but definitely songs where the lyrics are also emotional.”
So is it easier to sing when you’re heartbroken? “Well I’ve definitely noticed that is easier to write songs when you’re heartbroken”, Pixie says. “So if I get heartbroken before my next album I’ll write some great songs! I’ve never been properly heartbroken. I’ve never been madly, deeply in love so I haven’t really been heartbroken. I have been upset by love though and I have been heartbroken by other things.”
There is a lot of speculation about her love life though and she is frequently seen with model Oliver Cheshire. Pixie giggles and uses the “we’re just good friends” excuse. “I’m really busy but I always make time to see my friends.”
I ask mum Lott what Pixie (“I called her that because she was such a tiny, cute baby who looked just like a fairy.”) was like when she was growing up. “She was always singing around the house but she was always quite shy growing up”, she says. “Then she auditioned for the Italia Conti in London and she got a scholarship and once she joined, it brought her out of herself. She did really well and she hasn’t stopped talking!”
Did she get her singing talent from her mum? “Mum’s a fabulous singer”, says Pixie. “She sings opera.” Mum cracks up laughing. “I do not! Her grand-dad sang in the church choir and her dad’s not bad.” Pixie, who has one older sister, Charlie Ann, and one older brother, Stephen, still lives at home. “She has bought an apartment but her bedroom is still there in the house”, says her mum.
She should really get her own place if only to have somewhere to keep her rapidly expanding wardrobe, because Pixie has become somewhat of a style icon in her short career. A bit of Bardot, a bit of Blondie. “I like to mix my look up a lot. I love loads of designers but I also lots of vintage. Sometimes I’m classical.”
Hollywood has already come calling and Pixie’s made her movie debut in something called ‘Fred’, a teen flick in which she plays girl next door Judy, but plans to star as Sharon Stone’s daughter in upcoming project ‘Sweet Baby Jesus’ are on ice. “Yes but the album is coming out in America next year so I’m really busy with that.”
Right now through she’s got a flight home to catch and some Benylin to glug. Maybe she’ll even get a plaster for that knee.

The Wanted Want Pixie

Boy band The Wanted are keen to work with pop star Pixie Lott.
The boy band would love to perform with the pop beauty and the five-piece admit they admire more about her than just her vocal talents.
Singer Nathan Sykes said: “We’d like to work with Pixie Lott, she’s always a good shout. Is it because I fancy her? Of course, who doesn’t fancy Pixie Lott!”
As well as cementing their success in the UK, the group are hoping to take their music Stateside in the New Year.
Nathan told BANG Showbiz: “It’s really exciting I think we’ll go to America to film the third single.
“We’ve had a few discussions with people out there, some people have said, ‘We like ‘All Time Low’, have you got anything else we might like.’ it’s been really good.
“They seem to be interested, we’ll go over there for a couple of days to see what they have to say, it’s looking really exciting. We’ve been over in Germany doing promo so hopefully things will go well over there then maybe we can go over to America.
“We’re definitely coming back to the UK to do a full on tour, which will be amazing.”

My passion will always be music, says US-bound Pixie Lott

Pop starlet Pixie Lott claims that she will always be loyal to music no matter how much the film industry comes calling.
The 19-year-old blonde beauty, who is set to break into the US market next year, admitted that music will always be her “passion” despite embarking on a budding acting career.
She said: “I love a bit of everything, acting, dancing, singing, but music is my passion I would never be able to live without that.”
In an exclusive interview with the DailyStar.co.uk, the MamaDo singer told of her excitement at taking on America and was hopeful of what she could achieve across the Pond.
She said: I’m going to America next February, promoting music and doing a few other bits, we’ll just see how it goes and see what happens out there but I’m excited about it.
“It’s harder to crack because obviously it’s such a massive country and it’s very different from the UK, so I think you have to use different tactics but I’ll give it a go, so we’ll see.”
Pixie, who has just starred in her first movie, Fred, a tale of teen angst and romance with American Youtube sensation Lucas Cruikshank, explained how she was intending to take some time out over Christmas for a bit of R&R.
She added: “I’m really looking forward to seeing my family and friends over Christmas and I’m going ski-ing which will be a nice break.”

Pixie soared to success in 2009 with her debut single Mama Do and has had a hit album, seven top 20 singles and has launched her own fashion label.
She added: “I’m writing my new album next year, am really excited about it and have lots of collaborations that are planned. I’m just really looking forward to 2011.”
And so are we Pixie!

Shopping at Diesel

before christmas pixie made on the 20.12.2010 afternoon. a big CHRISTMASSHOPPING at diesel.

Pixie Lott and her boyfriend Oliver Cheshire enjoy a relaxed evening shopping on Carnaby Street together. The pair visited the Puma store, where they left with several large bags after around an hour. As they left the store, they set off the security alarm, but were allowed to leave without having their bags checked. The pair, who had also been shopping at several other shops with friends earlier in the evening, then made their way to a nearby pub called The Blue Posts. Customers said they saw Pixie enjoying a cheeseburger and chips and a glass of coke, while chatting to her pals. The group left around an hour later, with all four of them helping carry Pixie’s huge amount of purchases to her waiting taxi, where they struggled to load them all into the vehicle!

Leaving Boujis nightclub

Pixie Lott celebrated the tour end at Boujis nightclub last night.

Pixie Lott always wanted to be famous

The 19-year-old, who has entered the Guinness World Records for the highest chart jump in history with her single ” Boys and Girls” going from number 73 directly to number one wanted to be just like her idols Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears when she was four years old, reports contactmusic .
“I’d see them starting their careers so young and I’d say ‘Why can’t I do that,’” she said.
Lott was so determined to become a famous singer that after signing up to stage school she spent all her time working out ways to succeed.
“I got there by striving every night, every weekend, scouring the internet for auditions, signing up for things, looking through the papers. Everything, all the time.I didn’t see the point of going to a stage school unless you wanted that career. Some people at my school are just doing normal jobs now. Which is, I think, a waste,” she said.

Pixie Lott is coming home for Christmas after globetrotting year

Pixie Lott will be spending Christmas at home in Brentwood.
After a whirlwind year, touring the UK and filming her first movie in Hollywood, the 19-year-old star confessed our town still “has a special place in her heart”.
The Gazette caught up with her at the premiere of her first cinema release Fred the Movie in London’s Leicester Square on Sunday.
Greeting fans alongside co-star Lucas Cruikshank, Pixie graced the red carpet outside Vue looking every bit the A-lister in a super-short black dress.
After signing autographs, posing for pictures and sharing comments with the press, Pixie met editor Neville Wilson for a chat about her big-screen venture.
She said: “I’ve been to a few premieres before, but it’s different to actually be one of the stars. It’s really exciting.
“I’ve done acting since the age of five, studied lots of different plays, so it wasn’t a completely new thing for me to do.
“But I think fans will get to see a different side of me, they’ll see me in a different situation – it feels weird seeing myself in a movie though.”
Pixie plays the girl next door, and the love interest for Cruikshank who plays the eponymous hero.
But with her first Hollywood role under her belt, and her second in the pipeline, Pixie is ditching the Los Angeles glitz and glamour for a family Christmas back home.
She said: “I love the UK too much, I still go home to Brentwood all the time.
“We’ll be having a big family Christmas in Brentwood.”
And, giving a welcome break to both Pixie and her mother Bev, who works as her manager and accompanied her on tour, it will be her auntie who will be cooking up the feast on the big day this year.
The whole family are due to jet off for a skiing holiday in Austria in the new year.

Pixie Lott Chats To I Like Music

Having earnt a scholarship to the infamous Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts aged 11, Pixie has been performing since day one. She entered our hearts aged 18 with her debut album Turn It Up. Since then, the young popstress has scored a string of top charting hits, appeared as a guest judge on the X-Factor and re-issued her debut album Turn It Up Louder with a whopping 10 extra tracks!
As if this wasn’t enough, the young starlet has now made her film debut in Fred: The Movie. Featuring youtube sensation Lucas Cruikshank as Fred, the film documents his dream to sing alongside the beautiful Judy…played by (yup, you guessed it!) the lovely Pixie Lott! I Like Music caught up with Pixie to chat about her first film, her headline 2011 tour, her exciting musical ideas for the future and holding back giggles on the set of Fred…
ILM: We chatted to you just before the release of your debut single! You’ve come a long way since then, now you’re starring in a film! How have you found the journey so far?
Pixie: It’s been so busy! I think that’s the only thing that’s really changed…just that it’s got so busy! There’s always so many people to talk to! But it’s been fun! I mean, I didn’t know what to expect at all when I started, so yeah…it’s been really fun. The thing I’m most looking forward to now is the tour!

ILM: You star in Fred: The Movie, how did you find the acting side of things? We know you best for your singing…
Pixie: I grew up acting from the age of five! I studied it at school and we did different TV shows and lots of plays. The audition for Fred just popped up when I was in LA doing showcases. I wanted to do films but I wasn’t planning on doing it so early! But…I do always think things are meant to be, so I just thought I’d go along! It just seemed like a fun first film to do, it’s light-hearted and it’s a comedy. Plus everyone there was really nice.
ILM: And it’s about music too, which must have helped! What are some of your favourite moments from the film?
Pixie: The fantasy scenes were some of my favourites, because you could do a bit more and exaggerate a bit more. You could go over the top and they were just really funny scenes! There was a scene with me and Lucas at the end holding a little dog. When we were shooting it the dog just wouldn’t stop making these really weird noises! I was trying to act and this little dog was looking at us! Especially when the smoke machine went off, it kept on making the weirdest noises! Haha! Me and Lucas could not stop laughing! It was really funny! Haha!
ILM: Considering this is your first film, were there any big challenges for you?
Pixie: Well, films are completely different to doing just a performance all in one, you have to stop and try the take again and try and get back into character… there’s a massive boom microphone and cameras all around, so it was a really different experience for me. But once I got used to everything, it was really fun! Now I’ve had a taste of it I’d definitely like to do more…
ILM: What are some of your favourite films?
Pixie: I love loads of different films, that’s quite a tricky question! I love all different genres; I love, love romantic comedies, I love comedies, I love scary films, I really love girly films… I like all sorts.
ILM: The film is all about the incredibly crazy Fred whose mission is to sing with your character Judy. You’ve collaborated with a few artists already, who else would you like to sing with?
Pixie: There’s loads of people! I’m really up for collaborating. It would be amazing to do something with one of my idols like Stevie Wonder, someone I’ve grown up listening to. But any new, young, fresh artists I’d be up for. I just did one with Jason Derulo. The track is on my repackage of Turn It Up, Turn It Up Louder, so hopefully people will be hearing that if they buy the album!
ILM: What was it like working with Jason Derulo?
Pixie: He was great, I didn’t know what to expect but he was even more talented in real life. His singing was amazing, and in the studio he was really professional. And he produces, he writes – he’s just really talented.
ILM: Lucas Cruikshank who stars as Fred found fame via youtube, eventually landing himself a film! On the other hand, your path to stardom was quite traditional – taking the drama school route. Having worked with Lucas, what would be your advice be to young artists on pursuing their dream?
Pixie: For me, I think it takes a lot of hard work if you’re doing it that way – through youtube or something. I first started looking outside of school for auditions, things on the Internet and in the newspapers, from about 12 or 13. I’d meet different people, then I’d meet more people like today, in the studio, after school and on the weekends… I suppose my advice is just try and go to every audition possible. And it takes ages. I was frustrated that it took such a long time, because I wanted to release when I was 15 or 16 and it wasn’t until I was 18 that it happened. It just takes a lot of perseverance. I think if you’re really passionate and can’t really imagine doing anything else, then you have to keep trying and can’t really give up. If your determined enough then anyone can do it!
ILM: How do you find fame?
Pixie: That’s the other thing that’s changed from before. I guess I just have to get used to the paparazzi thing. Nothing really fazes me though, that’s the thing – I don’t really pay too much attention to it. Obviously there’s a lot of press and stuff but not all of it’s true, loads of it is made up. But I’ve kind of just learnt to ignore it and focus on the positive things and just really enjoy it, because I feel lucky that I get to do what I love anyway.
ILM: In terms of music, what’s next for you?
Pixie: I release my music in America next year in February and start promoting, and then it comes out in Spring. I’m excited just to give it a go and see what happens ’cause I like spending time out there. And then I’ll go a bit more behind the scenes and start writing my second album, which hopefully will be out at the end of next year. But I want to spend a good chunk of time in the studio, not really going out to too many things, and just really work on it and have a slightly different sound to the first album.
ILM: Do you write songs in your spare time?
Pixie: Yeah, that’s how the repackage came about. I had days and days where I was writing. I was writing all these songs that weren’t really going anywhere… I didn’t want to put them towards my second album ’cause they were still kind of in the first album vein, so I just thought I’d add ten extra tracks for Christmas! But for the next album I want to take it in a slightly different direction and tap more into the soul, mo-towny vibe.
ILM: What have you been listening to lately?
Pixie: I still listen to loads of old stuff. I’ve got old funk and soul classics, obviously Stevie and Aretha and Whitney and Gladys Knight, all the greats! But still lots of new stuff, I like all different genres so I like a lot of bands. I always say I love Kings of Leon, I like MGMT, The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, I like Jamie T and Jack Pinata. I love Adele, I think she’s got a great voice. There’s a wide variety. I like a lot of RnB, I love John Legend! I listen to Kanye West… Loads of people!
ILM: What are your future plans?
Pixie: I guess I just want to make sure it’s long-lasting, because I can’t imagine really doing anything else. This is my first headline tour, but I’d love to play bigger venues next year. See what happens in America, who knows! Hopefully I can get more involved in film, do some films that are more challenging and more of a stretch. More fashion stuff too… but obviously I just can’t wait to get going on the second album now and see if I can make sure that it does last long!

I’ve added a bunch of new images of Pixie performing at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall
New campaign Faces For The Forces has arranged for stars to send their personal messages of goodwill to troops at home and abroad.
Pixie Lott, Holly Willoughby, Gavin Henson, Bruce Forsyth, Joe McElderry and loads of other celebrities and politicians have recorded video messages, which are posted on a giant wall at www.facesfortheforces.com.
There are also thousands of recordings from members of the public, all collected from citizen reporters at www.winkball.com. The aim is to have a million messages by 23 December.
The MoD hav agreed to send a CD of the messages to soldiers at home and abroad.
‘We want to encourage as many people as possible to get online, come to the site and record their goodwill messages to show our continued support and respect for the important job our brave and selfless young men and women do, no matter how far away they are,’ says WinkBall co-founder Dr James Ohene-Dja.

Pixie: I’d love to make more films

Pixie Lott has got the acting bug after making her film debut in Fred.
The Boys And Girls singer, who dabbled in drama during her schooldays, said taking part in the movie left her keen to try more roles.
“I grew up doing lots of acting at school and I did lots of shows and TV shows and stuff, but it’s the first time I’ve ever done a film so it was really exciting. I’d like to do more,” she revealed.
“Because its such a light-hearted, fun film everyone was really relaxed and the whole crew and everything was really nice.
“I felt more relaxed, I wasn’t too nervous.”
Pixie stars as Judy in the film, based on the hit YouTube series about fictional schoolboy Fred Figglehorn.
The 19-year-old, who scooped the role during a trip to LA for a series of music showcases, said more acting work could be in the pipeline.
She added: “Nothing’s confirmed but we’re talking to lots of different people so we’ll see what happens.”

Fred: The Movie Screening

I’ve began adding pictures of Pixie at the UK screening of Fred: The Movie in Leicester Square this afternoon. More will be added as soon as they emerge. Fred hits UK cinemas this Friday (December 17th), so be sure to catch it and enjoy Pixie in her first ever major film role.

Pixie Lott: ‘I would never use drugs’

Pixie Lott has revealed that she has no interest in taking drugs.
The 19-year-old singer admitted that illegal substances are easily accessible but they do not appeal to her.
She told The Times: “It’s crazy nowadays because there are drugs everywhere. And not just in the industry. So going to a party and doing drugs isn’t a symbol of success to me. It’s the opposite. It’s actually really loserish.`
“I’ve had so many opportunities where I could’ve done it but it simply doesn’t appeal.”
However, Lott explained that she does like to drink with her friends.
She said: “Alcohol? Yes I drink with my friends. I think if you’ve got alcohol, I don’t see the need to do anything else.”
Lott also expressed that she wants to show her fans who she really is so that they are able to “relate” to her.
She added: “I wouldn’t want to put a bad example across to the fans. Neither do I want to portray a fake squeaky-clean image. I’m just trying to be natural and show what it’s like growing up and then the fans can relate to you.”

Pixie Lott is breaking into movies and then America

Young, gifted and beautiful, singing star Pixie Lott is breaking into movies – and then America. But she’d rather be at home with her folks.
This Christmas, Pixie Lott has only one wish – to be at home playing party games with her family.
One particular Lott favourite is a rather raucous version of Stars In Their Eyes.
“It’s a right laugh and I usually do Whitney and my grandad does a Frank Sinatra song or You’ll Never Walk Alone,” she says. “And actually, Grandad’s got quite a good, strong voice. I can feel a duet coming on…”
Presumably Pixie, blessed with that killer voice of hers, wins hands down? “No!” she giggles.
“My dad usually does a bit of Rod Stewart and he’s got a croaky voice. He puts on a Rod wig and everything and he usually wins. Last time, I came second.”
Coming second doesn’t happen very often to Ms Lott. Since bursting on to the UK music scene 18 months ago with her number one debut single, Mama Do, the striking singer has had no cause to look back. And with all that she’s accomplished, it’s hard to believe she’s yet to turn 20.
She already has a hit album and seven top 20 singles on her CV, not to mention her own fashion label (for hip British brand Lipsey).
And for those of us who failed to catch that extraordinary, soulful voice on the radio, there was the recent ITV special, One Night Stand with Pixie Lott.

There are various music awards in her bedroom back home, although Pixie admits that lately, the time she actually gets to spend in her home town of Brentwood, Essex, is limited.
She’s currently touring the UK and will jet back to the States in the New Year to promote the release of her album, Turn it up Louder.

Pixie Lott would never take drugs

Pixie Lott has never been tempted to take illegal drugs and thinks people who do so are ”losers”.
The ‘Gravity’ hitmaker is amazed at how easy it is to buy illegal substances but insists she has no desire to experiment with mild-altering narcotics.
She said: “It’s crazy nowadays because there are drugs everywhere. And not just in the industry. So going to a party and doing drugs isn’t a symbol of success to me. It’s the opposite. It’s actually really loserish.”
“I’ve had so many opportunities where I could’ve done it but it simply doesn’t appeal.”
However, although she would never consider taking drugs Pixie admitted she loves to have a few drinks with her friends.
She told The Times newspaper: “Alcohol? Yes I drink with my friends. I think if you’ve got alcohol, I don’t see the need to do anything else.”
Although the 19-year-old singer does want to set a good example for her fans, she also thinks it is important to be a normal teenager.
She explained: “I wouldn’t want to put a bad example across to the fans. Neither do I want to portray a fake squeaky-clean image. I’m just trying to be natural and show what it’s like growing up and then the fans can relate to you.”

Yorkshire Evening Post Interview

Pixie Lott recently released Turn It Up Louder – an extended version of her debut album.
The 19-year-old’s first two singles, Mama Do and Girls And Boys, were both number-one hits, and her debut album Turn It Up hasn’t left the Top 40 since its release.
Pixie, originally from Bromley, south-east London, begins her first UK tour on November 23. Turn It Up Louder is out now.
You must be really excited to be going out on your first headline tour?
I can’t wait, really can’t wait. I’ve been a support act a few times so it’s nice to have my own show after two years or so.
What have you got planned?
We actually start rehearsing this week, so I only know who is going to be there. We’ve got four dancers – which will be amazing. I haven’t danced properly since leaving school really, so I’m looking forward to that. There will be an acoustic set in the middle too, where I’m going to sing some of the covers I’ve done on YouTube, some medleys and things.
Have you been going to gigs over the past year to grab ideas?
I toured with Rihanna recently and she’s got this massive extravaganza with dancers and tanks and things. So seeing that every night made me want something crazy like that. One day maybe.
Are you nervous?
I’m just really excited, this is the thing I’ve been working toward and dreamed about, so it’s more excitement than anything else.
The first single went in at No.1: did you expect that?
When you release your first single you have no idea. Because it took so long to make the album and actually get heard, it was a frustrating, long process, but once it happened it happened really quickly. I wasn’t expecting that at all. I didn’t expect my single to go in at number one.
Things are taking off in America too?
Yes, things are going well over there. I’m part of Fred: The Movie, which was released there earlier in the year, but comes out here in December. It’s done really well on iTunes, and I’m going to go out there in February to do some promotion. No US tour as yet… so it’ll be radio performances and interviews hopefully.
You were a guest judge on the X Factor, and Simon Cowell was very complimentary about your performance. Would you be up for more of that?
Definitely. It was a totally different experience for me, because I’m so used to being on the other side. I still audition for things now, so I had a lot of sympathy for the people in front of us. It was really different but I loved it. Long day though, like 14 hours or something. None of the people I saw made it through to the live stages though, so I can’t really root for anyone that I put through.
Have you got a song you’re particularly looking forward to performing?
I love singing new stuff, so I can’t wait to sing the extra material we’ve done for Turn It Up Louder. I’ve performed my older singles on a regular basis, so I’m used to singing them. Doing anything with the live band will be great though, and the songs that people know and sing back will be a lot of fun.
Have you got merchandise? What’s it like seeing your face on a T-shirt?
We’re working on it at the moment, and because it’s called the Crazy Cats tour, I want some cat ears people can wear. My face on a T-shirt though, that is weird! I was recently given a T-shirt by Nando’s, because I go there quite a lot, and they’ve made a special T-shirt with my name on it. My friend wears it all the time.
How are preparations for the second album?
Well I’m going to the US, but the rest of the year will be spent writing the album. I think I’ve moved on quite a lot from the first album, and really want to spend time getting the second album right. I think it’ll be more soulful and have one sound rather than moving around through styles as much.
