Pixie voted 70th ‘Most Desirable Woman’

AskMen.com’s annual ‘Top 99 Most Desirable Women’ poll saw Pixie land at 70th in this year’s list. You may not have heard of Pixie Lott, the 19-year-old syrupy-voiced pop star who’s taken her native UK by storm, but with the recent stateside release of her hit record Turn It Up, it’s only a matter of time before you do. Lott is just the latest talented songstress to emerge from across the pond, and some say she’s the most promising yet. Considering that group contains the likes of Duffy and Adele, that’s high praise for the singer/songwriter, whose jazz-tinged vocals and song-writing skills have her positioned as the anti-Ke$ha. Sometimes it’s just plain head-scratching that a single human being can be so gifted, so driven, so fashion-forward, and so mind-meltingly pretty. But if such an enviable genetic cocktail produces the likes of Pixie Lott, we’re not complaining.

Celebrating birthday at Movida

Pixie Lott and Jamelia’s central London birthday parties came to an abrupt end this morning when a man threatened to blow himself up in an Accessorize shop in Regent Street.

The two stars, their friends and other revellers at Movida in London’s Argyll Street were all forced to leave the nightclub after police evacuated part of London’s West End.

The drama began when a man broke into a branch of Accessorize on Regent Street and threatened to harm himself in the early hours of this morning.

Pixie was celebrating her 20th birthday at the celeb haunt with model boyfriend Oliver Cheshire, 22, and pals dressed in a hot pink Atelier Versace frock.

Meanwhile, Jamelia, who was wearing a revealing black lace and PVC mini dress and Louis Vuitton lace-up heels, was toasting her 30th.

The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger and rapper Chipmunk were also partying the night away at the club and forced to make a quick exit.

Dozens of clubbers then found they couldn’t get to their cars after most of Regent Street was shut off by police.

Back home, Jamelia even joked about the incident to her followers on Twitter.

She posted: ‘Thanks to (my friends) Movida and all my amazing rebels for the best Party… It was The BOMB (Pun Intended). Love you all xxx.’

Police arrested a man at 5.15am this morning after a four-hour siege.

A Met Police spokesman said: ‘Police were called to a commercial premises in Regent Street shortly after 12.20am today following an alarm activation.

‘On arrival officers saw a man inside the building purporting to have an explosive device.

‘Officers surrounded the building and cleared the area while attempts were made to make contact with the man.

‘At 05.15am, following negotiation, a man left the building voluntarily and was detained.’

At a sniff of interest from America most UK pop stars are on a plane over there.
Not Pixie Lott. The singer has been at odds with her management about their plans for her to move Stateside.
Her US label are keen to push her to LA but she would rather travel from London than relocate to California.
A source said: “Pixie is determined to stay near her friends and family.”
She lives in east London now – 40 minutes from mum Bev, home cooking and that free ironing service…

Pop belle Pixie Lott is targeting a Hollywood career following her guest appearance in teen comedy Fred.
And top of the No1 singer’s wish-list is a role in a major fantasy epic.
Pixie, 19, said: “Now I’ve had a taste of it I’d definitely like to do more.
“I grew up acting from the age of five.
“Fantasy is my favourite, because you can do a bit more and go over the top.
“I’m excited just to give it a go and see what happens because I like spending time out in America.”
Surely Peter Jackson could do with a pretty little elf for his upcoming big screen take on The Hobbit?
